"Wouldn't it be fantastic if we could have watched the cars of the ALMS or the GRAND-AM series tackle the 2.85 mile circuit!  That track would have been perfect for those high performance cars!"

"Just finishing up Peter Bryant's wonderful book Can-Am Challenger.  He led a very fascinating life as a designer and mechanic.  He designed the Shadow MK2 and MK3.  At one point, he notes that Jackie Oliver got the car up to 200 MPH only to have…"

"Stephen,
No one I know of could take this on.  Perhaps a Brian Redman or Bobby Rahal - both heavily involved in vintage as you know - could steer this group towards a benefactor?
Duncan Dayton? Rob Dyson? Don Panoz?"

Andrew S. Hartwell left a comment on Shadow Memorial Museum
"The Shadows were remarkable cars and the first one to compete in Can-Am really personified the 'lets see what you can bring to the table' spirit of that wide open formula.  Of course, it was not the one that would go on to win but it sure did look…"

"Bob, Wherever that junk is coming from it isn't from AARWBA.

Stephen, sound like a bug to you? Remember when several of us got the spam treatment early on too?

  • Hi Andy
We changed the sign up process so that new members must be approved.
You loose a lot of members that do not want the hassle, but the spammers were even worse.
    It goes in cycles.
Thank you for promoting the site to our friends.
    All the best - Stephen

Can you ask Patrick if he'd like to be our spokesperson to get the 78 million baby boomers more interested in collecting, showing and/or racing vintage, historic, classic and antique cars?
    Many, many thanks - Stephen

  • Andrew:
Mine is a 2001 2.5L. I bought it in 2002. It is a delight. I have owned several sports cars over the years, all the others were British. Other than a Jag XK140 that I still have sellers remorse over, I like this one the best. A sports car with no vices. We also have something else in common, we both have a web site with automobilia in the name.
