"Hi Ham,
Roger's old girl had a temperature tantrum at Donington Park in March, but her younger sister was on hand to save the day. For write-up, see http://www.1000ccf3historicracingassociation.org.uk/resultsdetail.a...
It's a long story, but…"

"Eamonn, hope you all have a grand day at Silverstone on Sunday 20! I'll be up the road at Donington Park with the ex-Roger Barr 12F, making its UK debut. This car has been in the US since 1967. Nicely restored, but needed quite a bit of fettling and…"

"Hi Jim,
Welcome to Crossle group, and I look forward to hearing more about your 12F project. I recently acquired the ex-Roger Barr 12F that won the 1968 SCCA Formula B run-off, so I'm particularly interested in this model. I've returned the car to…"

"Stephen,

Thanks Stephen, Monaco was a great weekend and I was happy to find the source of the 17F photo. This season I'm racing my 25F in Europe with the Dutch Historic Monoposto series, and recommend this to anyone wanting to race on European…"

"Hi Alan,

Hope you saw the HSCC report I uploaded from the Monaco GP Historique. Marcus Pye did a great job capturing the atmosphere of a memorable weekend and summarising the historical context to 1-litre F3.

Getting an entry to Monaco was as much…"

"Hi all, I've added an article on the 2010 Monaco GP Historique in which my Crossle 17F performed admirably in the 1-litre F3 race. Enjoy (I certainly did)!

"David,

Not sure if you've seen the attached photo of what is, I believe, your father's car. This was sent to me as part of my own research on the 22F.

I plan to race (another car) at Kirkistown at the end of March. Any chance you'll be there?…"

"Hi David,

Good to hear from you! I bought 22F-73-04 from Terry Murphy in 2006. Terry "mislaid" the history of the car, so any light you can shed on this or the other three 22F chassis will be very welcome.

I hope to be at Kirkistown on 28 December…"

"Hello Lynn,

Are you still racing a 50F (or other Crossle?) I have a few of these great cars and look forward to racing them when the European season gets underway in a few weeks. I hope to run an F2 Crossle 22F from 1973 for the first time in 2009,…"

"David,

Beautiful 16F - I haven't seen one painted like this before. I have 17F and 20F Crossles, both very similar to yours and both great cars to race.

  • Congratulations on your European FF win.
From the 2006 CVAR FF Champion in a 32F Crossle :-))
  • Hi Paul
We're lucky to have you as a member.
My first racecar was a Crossle and I loved it :-))
    Stay safe
    Warmest regards - Stephen
  • Thanks Paul. Just read the article as I could not open the PDF earlier today. It's a great report. I suspect I could not open earlier as I've been having lots of broadband probs in past couple of weeks. Something to do with an upgrade in the Bangor exchange apparently.

You in line for Mr Hayward's job?

  • Hi Paul
    David Mack (Belfast) here.
Do you know who raced that Crossle 22F in 1973?
My father, Desmond Mack, had a blue one, with a split rear wing for a while, driven by Brian Nelson, then Nelson Todd. I'm trying to find out whatever happened to it.
    Spaseeba!
  • Paul, Thanks for the kind words. You have a great collection of Crossle-ies. We have a bunch in our club. They really have a great following stateside.

  • Unfortunately the 50F was totalled in a shunt at the Runoffs; the other driver was serverely sanctioned, however I don't remember him writing me a check or sending me a new chassis. lol I now have a 33 FC to put together. I doubt I'll have her out this year, but have the pick of a friend's Van Diemens to pick from. If you know of anyone needind 50F bits, please send them my way.
  • BTW - that's me in a Crossle 30F. One of the truest race cars I've ever driven :-))
    Warmest regards - Stephen
