"Grendel is a '56 Healey 100-4. In the spirit of automotive charity I purchased him as a rolling restoration project, fixed him up for VSCCA, then sold him to a fellow club member who has happily raced him for the last ten year."

"That would be a fun web site. It could serve as a focus for research into GM history."

"Stan,
Take a look at http://www.lotuseleven.org/ and http://www.historiclotusregister.co.uk/. Jay Sloan, who runs the former, is US registrar for the XI. If your car raced on the west coast you might also want to take a look at Frank Sheffield's web…"

  • what's the story on the healy in your picture.
  • Thanks for offering to be my friend. We LOCOST builders don't get much respect in the vintage community. Actually I built mine in the vintage spirit. The 2.0 liter Alfa Romeo engine has real points and condensor in the distributor and duel Weber 40 DCOE's.
  • john, i'm told that there are few things quite so gorgeous as a lotus in full bloom. :)
  • John,
I have joined a Yahoo H Modified link that is interesting and could be used as a benchmark for G Modified. I will put that in the back of my mind and see where it leads. Enjoy the season.

  • John,

Thanks for the guidance. I will review these L11 lists. I keep thinking that a GM link would be good to get particularily Front Engine 1.1 to 1.5L together collectively for Vintage Racing.

  • Hi John, My name is Stan Mason I race a Bug Eye through VSCDA in the Midwest. I am in process of restoring an Ally Bodied 1958 Elva MkIII 100/65 Sport Racer. I have been collecting information (past and present information on Front Engine Elva Sports Racers with a focus on MkII and IIIs. I was wondering if their is a Lotus 11 register that I could benchmark and where it maybe located. I have been looking at the Lola MkI register, which is very impressive. Your guidance in appreciated.
