"Greetings,

Noticed your Capri on the site.........I like it! You don't see many Capri's on the road, let alone one in race form. The last one I saw was down here in Orange County- Ca. at a weekend get together, it was a super clean bone stock Burnt…"

"Hey Efrain,

Got your invite/message...thanks! This new Vintage website looks to be pretty cool and is in it's early stages. It will be interesting to see how it grows. By the way, I guess you know about Moran closing down for good. I'll be out…"

  • Hi Gary,
Yea you don't see to many of them around. A friend of mine has three. One he currently races has the rounded body flare, and is all race car. He has supercharged the V6 which make it a very fast car. He has one in the works that will copy the old Zakspeed team cars. This one will have the squared off finder flares. He is working to keep it as similar as possible. He hopes to make it SCCA and Vintage. His third is a very nice, factory stock daily driver. Yea he likes Capris, its good for me as I have a great source for information and parts. My car is all race, I kept it stock as long as I could stand it. We only had a few ventage events in PHX each year. The car in stock trim was just not fast enough to run with the modified cars that i was classed with in my local club. The car had the Ford 2.0L "Pinto" motor in it. I found a Cosworth YB 2.0L motor which is the same short block as the Pinto motor with a Cosworth head on top. The rods, pistons, and crank are much better then the Ford but would fit either motor. This is a full up race motor that will give me over two times the stock horsepower. Should be a kick in the butt. This Friday will be first day back on the track.

    Bob
