"Frank
Thanks for the extra information; I've emailed Areed Barabasz about the car. A list of your races with it would be very helpful because I've only got your results in pro-races, not SCCA.
I'm getting in touch with Bobby Brown about his car and…"

Thanks for getting back to me about your old Ralt. Was the "rock star" that Barabasz bought it off called Terry Knight? He was the ex manager of Grand Funk Railroad and certainly had one of the early cars - interesting that there may have been…"

  • Yes, that name rings a bell and I believe it's sister car is owned by Bobby Brown. I reached out to him some years ago with no reply forthcoming. Anyway my Ralt had a very low chaissis number. The log book was lost by someone I had transport the car so the present book is blank of entries, etc. I do have a somewhat complete list of Pro, Natl. and Regionals races I ran with the car if that is helpfull. Arried can give more info on the early history. He is a professor at Washington State U. however I think I may have misspelled his last name. Good Luck
  • Haven't been on this site for a long time. Over a year ago you asked about a Ralt I once owned. I purchased it from Arried Barabass in Washington state but it was abn East coast car. One of two formerly owned by some rock star. It was of 1981 vintage with outboard suspention. I up dated it with '83 bodywork whick made a world of difference in preformance. I crashed the car in '89, rebuilt it using inboard rear suspention, never ran it again. Sold it to the owner of Sassco tire, I forget his name just now. I'll check back soon to see if this helps in any way. Frank Pardon the delay
