My bug has been accepted to 2011 Monterey Motorsports Reunion
I think it will be the first one ever at the event. Anyone have any good tips for Laguna Seca in a VW?

Dennis, I like type 2's had a sweet 70 panel that I towed my race bug with but sold it. I miss it! It is now somewhere in San Francisco.
re any Type II enthusiasts in the group??
Great place for VW discussion of all kind and parts location for the rare and hard to find.
That wasn't my Type 34 picture--it was there already when I started searching around for any VW-oriented groups here. Sadly, I've only owned one Type 3 in my life, and it was a lowly '70 Squareback--nothing as cool & exotic as a T-3 Ghia. You should post a picture of yours somewhere--it sounds great--good for you!
Best regards,
Steve
The car has lead an interesting life as one of its previous owners had a go at drag racing it with a 2 litre engine. It is now fitted with a 1600 engine and I have raised the suspension back to standard specification as I have to hire it out as a fairly standard car. I am working through a long list of small jobs to bring it up to standard but it will be available for hire in April.
I took it out last night in the grips of winter (minus 2 Celsius) and although I have had the heater re-installed, it isn't very effective.
If you are interested in the car then I am a member of the Type 34 Register and run my own VW Razoredge blog on their website.
Great fun!

(will be doing a lot of rebuilding on both as time goes on, since both were originally hosted on AOL, which dumped all their web hosting customers in October '08...).
Happy VW-ing,
Steve
