To my fellow Lister owners. I had a dream of all Lister owners getting together for Run & Gun ) 09 In mid September. Talked to Chuck & Randy Beck and they are in. I am also in. So how bout all of you adjusting your schedules for this great event ! You have almost a year to quit your jobs, play hooky,call in sick , leave your wife, etc to make it happen. It will be great to finally all meet face to face , talk cars,enjoy racing ,good food,great times,magazine coverage,trophy's,etc. I did it 2001 and had a great time! Let me know ,Mike Ciccotelli

As always thanks to our friend Alan.It is because of him we have a voice and place for the hobby we all Love ,Thanks. I wanted to show these trophy's to not brag ,but clear up all the mistake's that are made in Kit Car and other Mag's . I tried to have Mike Blake Editor of Kit Car at the time have a retraction for all the mistake's and even met with him at Kit Car National's. I think the pressure from Kit Car advertiser's was to great ,and he did not want to rock the boat. Looking forward to 09 .Mike

Mike Ciccotelli won Prepared Small-Block in 11.748 in his 350hp Beck Lister. Ciccotelli took his class by more than a second, as Lewis Payne posted a 12.795 time in his 350hp CMC Cobra.
Hi alan , I'm sending you some piture's of the trophy's that I recieved for the event. Let me say there was a ton of cheating going on . Superformance was a main culprit and a couple of other Cobra manufacturer's . I guess when they saw Chuck pull up ,hands went up in the air . I signed up and set-up the car to run in street class .This was also the 3rd time tracking the car .1 time with BFG's ,1 time at Pocono in heavy rain,1 time with the Yokohama's in the rain.After some practice sessions I was being called a Pro driver and having my class changed to Street Prepared (middle group ) Mind you I had Yokahama DOT tires now going against cars with full slicks almost twice as wide .I won the Drags,Roadcoaurse,I also won the Autocross but there was some car changes and driver changes and my time Lost ? so I lost the autocross by a slim margine.At that point I was just there to have fun.The trophy's were a surprise /Shock.It was a very memmorable time. Thanks Bob , these Guys have layed down the Law ! So we have to beat a SB-Pro class of 10.49 for the drags.A 41.462 at the Auto cross,Thats you Bob ,and a blistering 102.285 on the Road course.. Gang we better start practicing ! Ed and Julian we need you Guys ! Thanks for the bad news BOB !! Mike
According to one of the organizers of R n' G who posts on Club Cobra, the tentative dates for '09 are October 9 - 12.
As I mentioned by email I will be there if schedule permits. My problem/excuse is that I don't make my schedule, the judges whose courts I'm appearing in do. If they decide to set a case for trial a particular week, that's the end of the story which is why I've had to cancel Spring Break trips, Monterey Historic visits, and other travel plans in the past. As we get into '09 I will have a better read on whether it will be open, at least by mid-summer as the chances of getting assigned a trial date in October are basically nil by then, but until then I'll just have to mark it on the calendar and hope.
Hi Bob , do not know why they changed it to October? Last year they had some bad weather. I'm really hoping you can make it ,as It will be a once in life time event ,with a bunch of Lister's . We can pick up some pointers from the like's of ED ,Julian, etc.Of course the Old Master will be there himself ( Chuck) .Alan wants to set-up a dunking tank for Chuck . That in itself should be worth the trip ! We should physically have enough people to get him in the tank, because he ain't going easy.! Take care Mike

Seems like the later you go in the year the better the chances are of the weather being crappy, but who knows, it might be cool and dry there. Hopefully not too cool since we don't want Chuck to catch pneumonia from the dunk tank!

Well I mentioned it to my wife and so far so good (no eye rolling or laughing in my face). Besides she is usually up for a good road trip and it will still be pretty hot down here and getting away from the heat is always a plus. Work is not usally an isuse when I can schedule this far in advance and with the way the economy is right now who knows I may be on a longer vacation than I planned. So for now count me in.
