  • Stephen,
Sorry I didn't respond to you from awhile ago regarding suggestions for marketing this site. We do social, search and email marketing for nice businesses. We've done work for Mercedes and Alpine, amongst others. I can offer suggestions and we can discuss it back and forth on email. Please email me at sosemarketing@gmail.com. See us at http://www.sosemarketing.com Thanks, David Schwartz

  • Hi Steve, Does the group have a logo that can be purchased?
Do you have any interest in getting Herrm Johnson from Indy racing in the group? Later Tom
  • Thanks for the warm welcome. You'll see more pics from me...plenty of projects in the works!
    Best, T2V
  • Thank you Stephen, I do not own the type of car to really be a member of this site, but I do enjoy sports car racing since high school. Never have got into nascar. I signed up mostly because I am a model builder and was looking for referance matter. I build mostly hotrods and drag cars but have been branching out some into sports cars so the need for referance.
  • Thanks! Great site you have here, glad to be onboard. I'm getting ready to take my Ghia on a cross country road trip, Florida to New Hampshire! wish me luck, she's not in perfect shape now but should make the trip just fine, taking it easy and driving mostly at night when the roads are cooler.
  • Thanks for the welcome, Stephen! I've been a sports car racing spectator since my early childhood with fond memories of riding to Lime Rock and Thompson and the Glen with my older brother and dad...first driving in a Hudson Hornet then a Borgward, Volvo 544, Alfa 1300 Veloce GT, Lancia Aurelia B20GT and so many others. Racers like Masten Gregory, George Constantine, Al Cosentino all impacted my grey matter in a way that caused a life-long love for the sport and ingenuity that so many must muster to maintain the cars on track today that kicked up the dust back in the 50's and 60's. I remember camping at the Glen for '61 US GP and even watching Bob Sharp give Paul Newman his first real driving lesson at Lime Rock on a Tuesday...this site will certainly occupy plenty of my time and keep me motivated to possibly some day become an on-track participant rather than just a hillside spectator. My restoration of a '66 Lancia Flaminia GT is progressing and at least I hope to soon be driving to the in-fields in car with great motoring lineage!

    Regards,
    Phil
  • Hi Stephen,
Nice to hear from you and thank you very much for the welcome. This is my first time adding a comment.
I will need to take time and see, learn this site.
    Take care and best wishes.

  • thanks for the welcome to the site. you have helped this vintage race car junky obtain his fix.
  • thanks for the friends invite. It's a bit chilly here in SoCal.
  • Thanks for the welcome, you have a very nice vintage site,. The car I pictured is my 1980 LOLA T530 can-am car .Ex Danny Sullivan, he raced it at the end of 1980 into 1981,he won the 1981 Las-Vegas can-am with it. 100% perfect, better than new and much faster too! Faster than I care to go, I probably will get a smaller vintage car.
