  • Yes the checkered flag was for me! This is by far the best site I have seen! Plan to upload all my race photos from Yahoo!

    Awesome website!!!

  • You're welcome! I love that picture. This is a great site! Also I noticed that you all have incorporated a chat function. This feature is better than any other social site out there. Also I think the WSJ would love to do a story on this! I happen to know the editor also!! A site like this would definitely bump out Facebook and MySpace!

    All the best,
    Jared
  • Stephen,

  • Stephen,
I re-read your story of the race with Rusty with all the trouble and it is a very descriptive account of the Carrera. Well written. We did not crash, but had some incredible mechanical failures that (someone), there always has to be "someone" helped us get on track again. David and I actually did the race in 1998 not 1995 in a car sponsored by John Jung. Since he was racing a 1951 Ford coupe in the same class, we felt it prudent to make sure he took 1st Lugar , which he did.

  • Thanks for the welcome, Stephen. I will try to get some photos posted. John
  • Hello Stephen. I was a support team member in 1995 for Angel Martinez (piloto) and Peyton Feltus (co-piloto).
That was the year Rusty Ward went to the bridge and just volunteered to wrench for any team that would have him. He said at the time, "I'm scouting this out so I can build a car and compete." He certainly made good on that statement. The Federale car was a true inspiration. My wife and I took vacation in San Miguel Allende to meet the coyote convoy last year and had a great time. I am glad to see it has expanded and we will be there to compete in the poker run and any other mayhem that is available. Thanks for the invitation to join your page. David
  • Hello Stephen,

  • Stephen,

Nice site you have created. I notice you race with CVAR. I am going to tow 10 hours out to Hallett to race the Bugeye in October, will you be racing there as well?

    Cheers,

    Doug Bruce
  • Hello Stephen,
and thanks for the email. I stumbled across this site by accident and found it to be pretty interesting. I have already invited my racing friends from Pittsburgh and the PVGP to join. I see that Dan DelBianco, the Executive Director has already joined. I am on the Advisory Board for the event so maybe I could talk to a few of the other members about how we could become more active. I'll keep you posted. Next race for us is Sept 20 and 21 at the new Lightening track at Thunderbolt Raceway, New Jersey Motorsport Park in Millville, NJ....looks pretty exciting as there is a vintage airshow - the Wheels and Warbirds Airshow that will be going on as part of the weekend festivities . Will you be going?
