What automotive, motorsports or collector car activities would you like to do in the future?

Several Formula Fords, a vintage MG collection including several MGA 1600MkII cars and an MGA Twin Cam with a very interesting history. I enjoy driving my Mini Cooper S with a John Cooper Works kit installed. I have a Lola T-640 which was formerly driven by Michael Andretti with complete documentation.

What Car Clubs, Racetracks or Motorsport Sanctioning Bodies, (e.g. F1, NASCAR, Indycar, IMSA, WRC) interest you?

Enjoy Formula Ford vintage racing with Merlyn Formula Fords. Enjoy MG and British car shows.

"Tony:

I would suggest putting a want ad (it's free) on the Apexspeed website. It is an excellent source for Formula car parts, cars, and info. I recently needed to find a front upright for my T640, and got hooked up with one by posting an ad there…"

My perception of ECR is that it is much more challenging than Hallett, and that it is kind of rough in places. I've never seen so many spins with cars trying to leave the pits. I'd say the pit exit is poorly planned and executed from a design…"

Yes, Len Mills can jump. He should be a shoe-in candidate for the CVAR high jump champ-he may have even Olympic potential, but I believe it will take you and the March again to recreate the same results.
You have the potential to be a…"

You may owe Len a free dry cleaning for his driver's suit from Eagle's Canyon this last weekend. I don't think he wants to see a March in a spectacular power slide up close in Turn 11 ever again."

  • Hi Brian,

This is Yan (noodle), a graduate student from Cambridge University. I’m currently working on a research project concerning the significance of keywords in product marketing. I really appreciate if you can spend 1 min on this tiny survey, and ‘comment’ your answer back to me.

How often do you use the words (as shown below) in search engine (like Google) if you are in need of relevant help for your Lola cars?
Please mark each option in 1, 2 or 3. (1. Never used; 2. Used sometimes; 3. Frequently used)

    Lola:
    Lola car:
    Lola racing car:
    Lola part:
    Lola spare:
    Lola component:
    Lola heritage:
    Historic Lola:
    Lola service
    Lola restoration

    Any other frequently used words?

Thanks a lot for your support!

    Sincerely,
    Yan (Noodle)
  • Hi Brian,

I now have registered and placed a wanted ad in the Blog section

  • Hi Brian, Hope you may know someone who can help. I have recently joined and following discussions with Stephen Page he suggested contacting Lola members to seek assistance in obtaining a replacement wheel for my T440 damaged last week.

It is a Revoultion four spoke with Lola 41/4 PCD and has 2 1/2 inch inside off set. As I don't have a spare the car now stands on three wheels !!

The car is Chassis Number HU 440/67/51/106 and last US owner was Wayne Buttermore and raced from 1977 to 1989.

It is now fully restored and as mentioned to Stephen I hope to visit the US with it in 2011.

  • Brian, hope you had a great time. When you have a little time tell me what you think about the track. I have a long way to go until I can run with the pack there. - Mark
  • Dear Brian
I'll give Ken a cuddle and a dry cleaning voucher when I see him.
    He really can jump...........................:-))
    Warmest regards - Stephen
  • Thanks, Happy New Year to you and your family as well. I am currently grinding out a broken off tap that the previous owner had left in the gearbox case. Even though it still seals w/o the stud in place, I just can't stand it being there. Up to about $30 in dremel bits and am seeking psycological help for my being so concerned about it. - Mark
  • Hello Brian,

Hope you are doing well. I enjoyed seeing you at Hallet and look forward to seening you in the spring. Titan's motor is at MWE for rebuild. Sprite's being refreshed as well, due to a broken push rod after Hallet CVAR event. Happy New Year, Joe Westervelt
  • Dear Brian
Thank you for your kind comments.
Please invite your friends and other marque leaders to join.
    Happy New Year - Stephen
  • Very cool website. This will be a great source for information. Thanks for the invite. - Mark
  • My pleasure, Brian. I feel like I do business with my friends and I'm so glad you have been added to that group. I can't wait for you to participate in more races next year so you can get to know Pete and Scott, Steve Jacobs, Ed Copely and some of the other great FF people. Best wishes for a great and prosperous '08!
