The upside, as mentioned in the headline: No need to fight traffic to try to fit one or two shop tours into a busy week, so we get to see multiple different shops on our own time. The downside: No visiting those out-of-the-way taquerias or diners that only our hosts know about for a killer lunch break. Maybe next year.

The itinerary, then, started last weekend with Justin Gurney's tour of the All-American Racers shop in Santa Ana, California. Double thumbs up for leaving Rem's workstation as is.

After that, we're on our way to Dennis Varni's Speed Nymph Garage in San Jose.

The Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana has a Summer of Porsche exhibit on display at the moment.

Concept car debuts will be a part of the Petersen Car Week, and they got a jump on that with a look at the Xing Miss R electric off-roader/supercar.

And, as of yesterday, the latest entry in the series: a look around Dick Deluna's Toy Box in Woodside, California.

Also, keep an eye on the Petersen's YouTube channel for the rest of its Car Week event.
